This offer ... which is aimed at "Westpac customers" ... has NOT been tested by TSA, so proceed at your own risk. If anyone is brave enough to try it, please provide us with feedback.
Have Courage!!!
This offer, although has "Westpac" written on it, is from pc tools. It is a legitimate offer from the company that we all know. If users have any doubts or are new at downloading and are afraid, they should do the following:
1) Create a second email that is used to register for products from the net. you should never use your personal email to register for anything. Having a dummy email comes in handy in these cases.
2) When you come across a product, take time to search the internet and find information about it. Use sites like www.download.com they have vast resources, and should provide you with enough information on a potential product you are considering to buy or download, as well as user opinions.
3) Always download from the companies web site....in this case if it is legit, you should be taken to www.pctools.com to complete the transaction. Also on this site you can find the relevant info on the product that you are going to download.
4) If you are still in doubt, download and setup all programs on a test computer. That way if anything goes wrong, your main computer is not affected.
5) Always use system restore...Make it a point to save a restore point before you install any software. In case anything happens, one click and your computer is back to the way it was before.
As for the offer at hand, it is from pctools, and it is legit. Although the offer says "westpac" on it, this is a third party that probably paid pctools to get advertising on pctools products from time to time.
If they send you any email, you can always block them which is something to remember to do, and not be scared off by trying new products or free offers.
I entered my info and received the code for the product and a download link.
As for the product itself, pc tools has many good products. I myself am not fond of "all in one" security kits, but that's just me...I prefer separate anti-virus, firewall and anti-spyware programs. Other users may differ with me, but that is up to each person to decide. This product offers all 3 in one, and for the price that is good! So if you have an infection and want to get rid of it and learn how to secure your pc, this is a product worth looking into.
And have courage! Nothing happens in this world if we don't have courage and are brave enough to try new things...Take your precautions and go for it!

I'm using a free one year testversion of pctis and i am very satisfied with it. Have left +/- 180 days so i'm gonna replace it with this offer.
"5) Always use system restore...Make it a point to save a restore point before you install any software. In case anything happens, one click and your computer is back to the way it was before."
Another option - and what i always do - is using Returnil. Returnil creates a virtual drive and no changes to your C-drive are made.
"1) Create a second email that is used to register for products from the net. you should never use your personal email to register for anything. Having a dummy email comes in handy in these cases."
