Superb Free Software Giveaway - Active Now and for the Next 3 Days [Expired]
Update: This offer is now expired.
If you're looking for a freeware alternative, check out our review article Best Free Photo Slideshow Software.
Further to the Advance Warning posted below, Wondershare is now live with its giveaway of Flash Gallery Standard v5.1.
Check it out at http://www.facebook.com/wondershare?v=app_11007063052.
Note that the offer is valid for 3 days until August 30 only.
For more about this program, see below.
Read these comments from Gizmo before proceeding:
1. To take advantage of this free offer you need a Facebook account. If you don't have one and don't want to sign up for one then this offer is not available to you. Simple as that.
2. To register for the offer you need to:
- Go here http://www.facebook.com/wondershare?v=app_11007063052
- Login to your Facebook account and click the "Like" link at the top of the Wondershare Facebook page i.e. become a fan.
- Enter you details in the Giveway Promotion panel
3. I checked the offer out and it works perfectly. First the registration is straightforward with an opt-out box for receiving the company email promotions. Second I received an email within seconds containing the license registration code and download link. Third the 32MB installation file downloaded quickly, installed on a Windows 7 without problem and accepted the license code without issue. Finally the product scans clean in Avira and installs clean under the watchful eyes of Avast!, PrevX, MSE and ThreatFire and that's good enough for me.
4. If you have problems registering it's probably because you didn't read the instructions. In particular you must register using the email address "nfs@wondershare.com" not your personal email address.
5. Guys we seem to get a lot of "post first, think later" comments when we publicize these free offers. Constructive comments are always welcome here but please be thoughtful in what you post. In particular no more off-topic posts about your opinion of Facebook please.
6. This is actually a pretty neat product for creating slide-shows. It's easy to use, offers a wide range of effects and makes it easy to add music. The ability to create slideshow files in Flash swf format is a real plus for emailing. It's not a product that appeals to techies like me but I can see a lot of people making great use of this. The only real downside of this freebie is that this is the standard $49.95 edition of the product and some of the more advanced features are only available in the $59.95 deluxe edition.

If you've taken a set of great digital photos, you might want to turn them into some sort of on-screen album to put on a CD or a web site. One option is the excellent Jalbum, which is free.
Another option is the superb Flash Gallery Factory, from Wondershare (http://www.wondershare.com/pro/flash-gallery-factory-standard.html). It turns a set of images into a beautiful animated album complete with page-turn effects and background music.
Wondershare has just launched version 5.1 of Flash Gallery Factory Standard. Normal price is $49.95. However, starting tomorrow, the company is giving away the product free of charge via its Facebook page. This offer is only due to last a couple of days, though, so you have been warned!
So, starting tomorrow, check out www.facebook.com/wondershare. And yes, you'll probably have to "like" Wondershare and become a fan of theirs on Facebook. Apologies to those who don't like doing such things, but I happen to think it's a small price to pay for a great product.

lol!!!!!,,and today their service was cutdown for more than 2 hours..
Join facebook,.... so what! If It's something you have to do to get a free program that you would use and not have to pay for it, sign up. nobody says you have to be an active particpant on facebook. If you want remove yourself after joining,(that option is available.
complaining about facebook sounds like "wanna be" experts whining.
I found the installation instructions misleading. I posted a criticism of Wondershare on here and dropped by to partially retract but my posts appear to have been deleted. Oh well.....
The software is great and very easy to use even for those, like me, who never in the past have worked with a similar application. The problem is that it depends on FlashPlayer ActiveX, and it automatically installs it without informing you. And to make things even better it installs an outdated version. The first thing i did when i noticed that, was to uninstall FlashPlayer, but when i opened FlashGallery it installed it again. So, for those of you who use a different browser than IE, just make sure you download the latest version of FlashPlayer ActiveX which is 10.1.82.76.
The software is probably clean since MBAM, SAS and Avira didn't find anything, but Prevx (inside Hitman Pro) did detect WS_FlashPlayer.exe as a trojan dropper. Although when i uploaded this to VT it came back with 1/42 result.
And, last, for those who hate FB, the activation code is the same for all. If you had done a search around the web you would have found out that you don't need a FB account to grab the software. I don't have a FB account
Thanks Gizmo, this freebie is great - everything you said it was! Registration works like a charm too and I haven't been swamped with spam or attacked by malware. Thanks Wondershare!
Tried posting this last night, but ended up posting it in wrong place. Here goes...
Attempted to install this software, but Commodo warned of malicious agent, so aborted install.
I really do wonder sometimes at the value of using Comodo or similar software with this rate of false detections. If you upload the file to Virus Total you will see that it is 100% clean.
Well, COMODO may be wrong, of course. But:
1. downloaded filesize is 34 MB, and the limit of VirusTotal is 20 MB. It doesn't just upload for me (maybe it is just me...)
2. The message from COMODO reads this -
Malicious item - TrojWare.Win32.Buzus.vbf@101147794
Location - within temp directory - WS_AgentProcess.dll
I tried to extract this dll from the exe file - it is hidden within 34someMB binary inside, and 7-zip can not pull it out.
I let COMODO clean the dll and repeated the installation attempt - same story.
At this point I say - I am not risking my PC and few days of cleanup. Call me a coward - it is just me...
Sincerely...
Thank you for sharing this. I'm a regular user of FB, been using it since it was newly created, haven't been infected with anything such as malware so far. Maybe because i know where and what to click. Cheerz, keep all the freebies coming and keep up the great work Gizmo :P
DL'd but the activation code they sent was invalid, so uninstalled, deleted, and "unliked".
My registration code worked perfectly once I entered the email address they tell you to use in the registration email (blush)
I agree on those of us using FB or other social media. I have not had to battle malware, it has not consumed my life and I can still talk and write. It is possible to use FB for brief periods of time. Not unlike the telephone. There were naysayers back in the day who cried out with great alarm that the telephone would destroy society.....
Hey, guys & gals...C'MON. STOP THE FLAMES!!!
The moderator said if you don't like FB, dont *itch about it, just pass on the offer. From the posts I've seen, many people CAN'T READ.
I, personally, have a FB account...have had it for quite some time...with no malware or spyware passed through to me. That's because I've protected my PC properly.
Maybe you should recognize that a computer is just a TOOL that, properly handled, advances your life...and if that means having spyware, malware, or backup protection attched to your PC...it's part of the peapatch that comes with using the tool properly. Stop *itchin' and start learning!
Yes, and for those who are afraid of giving they FB account info, why not just open a temporary or one you can use for this type of events and use that? Problem solved...
Believe it or not, people do have real lives and talk to real people even though they enjoy their computer from time to time. Facebook, Twitter, etc are destroying real socialising and creating a virtual world. Heaven help future generation; they could very well not be able to talk without a keyboard. Much as I would probably like the prog,I can live without it rather than compromise real life in order to get it!
Realist, you are right on with this comment. Thanks to Facebook, texting and the like,we have raised a generation of social nincompoops with few social graces or skills. This will only get worse as time progresses. The present young adult generation, some of whom have some basic social skills, will be unable to pass their minimal skills on to their keyboard mad offspring. If this trnd continues, the human race could be reduced to communicating almost entirely by keyboard and video.
I think it harms nobody, you need to see further, later the computer will be more voice activated, and using less keyboard. It's going to be better than the telephone age, as we're going to have voice, plus live video. Need no worries.
Every time I try to install I get a message from Comodo about Trojware.win32.buzus.vbf@101147794
I don't get it. What is all the anti-FB stuff. I use it everyday and haven't found anything wrong with it. I think it's one of the better social networking web apps out there. If you're worried about WonderShare plastering activity on your activity stream, then you can just disallow that in your settings. Do you FB haters use any other online app, like any of google's stuff?
Oh come on, it takes less than 2 minutes to open a Facebook account, no personal info is required and you can use a throwaway email address.
Connect to Wondershare, get your freebie then close the F/B account.
So simple!
Come to the Dark side !!!
You don't even have to use your real name.
? how many spam emails do you currently have ?
I have had a pretend/fake facebook long before the masses even new it existed.
There must be some online RPG'ers who use play multiple characters/personalities just for fun.
Thank You !! Leo for sharing this with all of us at techsupportalert.com
P.S.
I just a guy ...not affiliated with techsupportalert or Wondershare
Well another giveaway that I will forgo getting. Sorry but joining Facebook for this product is not worth it. I have done without Facebook this long and a giveaway certainly isn't a reason to join now.
Did you even bother to read the above mention that whining like this would not be appreciated. If you don't want it, just keep quiet and ignore the tip. No one says you must accept the freebee.
Thanks Robert, I've downloaded and tried it after registration.
Personally I like its nice template, transition and motion effects, animated decoration, text and background music. Some features are available to the freeware that I reviewed, but obviously this has more goodies.
Though I have a Facebook account, I actually created a temporary one for this purpose. Shhh....
No facebook for me either.
The alternative for free is not paid version of some form - it is to continue living happily without it or anything like it.
I have a couple of Wondershare programs and so far I have been impressed by both their software and the response I have had when I have contacted them for information.
That said, I would not use Facebook or Twitter under any circumstances, to get free software or for anything else.
An increasing number of developers are requiring that you use one or both to get their free offers, it is about time they realised that they are turning away a lot of people because of it.
No matter how good a program it is extremely rare not to be able to find a viable alternative, often freeware.
Even if there is no direct alternative it is usually because it is specialised software which only a limited number of people would be interested in or it is something that is not really necessary.
Wondershare, you only have to read the replies on this page to realise that you are doing yourselves more harm than good.
Dear friend,

Wondershare Software Co., Ltd.
Thank you so much for your generosity. It is greatly appreciated!
Seriously folks, this one is worth the hassle.
I just got this software and it is AMAZING!
I wouldn't normally go through all of the hoops to get something like this, but this is extrodinary. Really.
Really fantastic find r.schifreen, thank you so much for posting this!
I'm with everyone else here. I wouldn't consider the software 'free' if one has to go through all the antics of joining Facebook. And I thought I was the only one. Glad to see I'm in good company.
