Finds of the week is a variety of web sites that I've stumbled over recently that are fun, interesting, or useful.

Interesting and fun reading. The section "For Teachers" is an interesting resource.

If you like the close tabs confirmation box feature in Firefox but you use Chrome this extension should work.

A good guide to getting some of the things done that Windows users will find useful if you're adding to your collection of operating systems or switching over.

7 Things I Learned From Building My First Desktop PC
This is a good article to read if you think you might want to build your own computer or wonder how to go about doing that. Not mentioned is one of my favorite features of a home built PC - no pre-loaded, unwanted programs. =)

Simple desktops has a wide selection of desktop wallpaper made for anyone who likes minimalist desktop wallpaper or wants distraction free  backgrounds.
A few comments: all the wallpapers I've seen have a screen resolution of 2560x1600 and might need to be resized using your favorite graphics program.
All the images that are downloaded have the same name; that is simpledesktops.com.png. If you're downloading more than one image adding a descriptive word or two (or changing the title) is helpful.
