Explore Thrifty Jubilee with Woot to Save Monies

I recall very little from high school calculus, and certainly nothing academic. The only imaginary numbers I wrote down were from female classmates. Nevertheless, one thing I do remember is our geometry teacher's occasional intrusions upon our lectures to bellow one word in a deep baritone: "WOOT!"

It turns out that our geometry teacher was quite the fan of woot.com. On days of particularly blessed deals, he would verbosely share his thrifty jubilee with our class.

For those who don't know, Woot.com is a website which posts daily deals, offering a wide range of goods for a slashed price. With the ensuing holidays, I imagine a good amount of people will be seeking out bargains in the near future. For this week, here are the best Woot apps for both iOS and Android.

Woot CheckWoot CheckWoot Check for Android uses a fluid design which gives everything you need to know on all that day's available deals without any load times in between. Each page presents you with a full description of the item including a picture and the remaining amount left in stock. Selecting “I Want One” at the bottom of the screens brings you to the product's page on the Woot website. To browse available deals, simply swipe the screen to the left or right to conjure other bargains.

In addition, Woot Check displays all Moofi deals. I must admit, I'm not entirely sure what Moofi is, but it's more deals and that's never a negative thing. Even better, Woot Check provides all the outside deals which are posted to Woot.com under deals.woot. As far as I know this feature is unique to Woot Check and is enough reason alone to download this app.

A toolbar rests at the top of Woot Check where you can refresh the pages, go to the Woot Forum, as well as share your favorite deals using the usual social media.

Wootie IconWootieWootie for the iOS provides everything Woot Check does excluding the deals.woot section. The main display comprises of deals organized into a list. Selecting an item brings you to its own individual page.

Like Woot Check, each product page has an “I want” button. However, selecting “I want” in Wootie will bring you to an in-app browser where you can purchase your desired deal. Wootie lets you share their deals through social media as well.

At the bottom of the main page list, there is a small bar which reads “Moofi Deals” as well. Selecting Moofi deals will bring you to a page in the same format of the main page showing all Moofi deals.
