Easeus Data Recovery Wizard Free edition 5.0.1 has released, which is a free and easy recovery software. It solves all data loss problems - recover files emptied from Recycle Bin, or lost due to software crash, formatted or damaged hard drive, virus attack, lost partition and other unknown reasons under Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7.

You can download the program, nice clean install, and then make-up and save your Recovery File to be. Then, when you do run into problems where you need to use your recovery file, JUST HOW DO YOU APPLY THAT-THERE'S NO WAY!
May some of you should just try a dry practice run.
Thank you.........

When uninstalling an older version of Easeus Data Recovery Wizard (to allow installation of the present version) I was impressed that Revo found no leftover file or registry key. A sign of serious software, I think.

The download is version 5.01. After reading part of the EULA, I decided against using the program because it is a demo version with limited working functions.

Does this need to be installed within the next couple of days then?
(Thanks!)

The offer is good for a total of 3 days. It's not clear if that means you can only download it for 3 days OR if that also means you have to install it within those 3 days. To be safe, I would suggest installing it within those 3 days.

I had/have v4.3.6 installed and when attempting to install this one, v5.0.1 received msg to manually uninstall previous version. Closed all running proggys and tried Add and Remove but get Error Message, (-5004 : 0x7e). Tried with Absolute Uninstaller, same Error Message. Running Vista HomePrem. Catch 22, can't uninstall 4.3.6 nor install 5.0.1... Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you tried 1) rebooting and then uninstalling or 2) uninstalling from within safe mode?

If neither of these work, I would suggest posting this question in our forums at:

Do you know which version this is?

The last one was 5.0.1 i believe is this a later version?

by kendall on 16. March 2010 - 4:29  (45646)

I'm sorry, but I did not install it so I'm not sure which version it is. It downloads as a zip file which extracts into an exe file. So, without installing it, I can't see a way to determine which version it is.

I'm not sure what file you uploaded, but it wasn't this one. I just checked with Dr. Web and VirusTotal. Dr. Web was clean. VirusTotal clearly shows this as virus-free!

From VirusTotal:

File drwpro_majorgeeks.zip received on 2010.03.16 00:43:47 (UTC)
Current status: finished
Result: 0/42 (0%)

Besides, Major Geeks is a very reputable site that does not host files with spyware/malware.

Scans clean with Avast and Malwarebytes also.
