Download Free Windows 7 Product Guide from Microsoft

Download this 140 page Windows 7 Product Guide free from Microsoft.

The guide has sections for consumers and IT Pros, a section listing what editions are available with a good chart covering the features of each edition, and covers how to use the new features (the Libraries look interesting). There's a section covering the Windows Compatibility Center and Windows Easy Upgrade and some useful resources at the end of the guide. The recommended system requirements are smaller than you might think and are buried in the IT Pro section on page 124. The Windows 7 Product Guide is available in both XPS and PDF formats. Overall the guide is good, if a bit wordy, though if you want more details and how-to's some of the Windows 7 review sites might be a better choice.

From the Microsoft Download site:

"The Windows 7 Product Guide provides a detailed look at the many new and improved features in Windows 7. The guide is designed as an accurate source of information that can help you to understand how Windows 7 Simplifies Everyday Tasks, Works the Way You Want, and Makes New Things Possible. The guide is also designed to provide IT Professionals with information about how to Make People Productive Anywhere, Manage Risk Through Enhanced Security and Control, and Reduce Costs by Streamlining PC Management. This is not a help and how to guide. Rather, it provides an overview of the many exciting features in Windows 7 and pointers to more information."

I'm not a Win 7 user and surely won't be for quite a while, but you mentioned "Windows 7 review sites" without providing any links. If you know of any that are recommendable, then why not provide some of the links? People can do Web searches, but like with a lot of other things, the searches don't tell us what's really recommendable, or not.
