Document management
i am looking for a freeware program that is able to scan, convert between various formats, print and organise any file in a very similar way to Paperport Professional. I know of a number of programs that can do some/most of the requiremts but none as well or in the same manner as Paperport.

any news about this type of software?
I have been searching for a Paperport replacement for a couple of years now. I have almost 30GB of scanned business documents and am so used to Paperport I do not want to switch to some product with less functionality. I use PCs and Macs and Paperport has prevented me from completely switching to Mac. With that said, Paperport has been very slow to provide meaningful updates and many of their past versions would fix one problem and cause two others so I'm ready for a different program!!! I have spent hours searching and mostly find others who are also searching; also searching unsuccessfully. Please help!

I use Paperport, an excellent program and I have looked around myself for a free alternative. I have not come across a program that is freeware or open source that does the same as Paperport.
