D v D Player

Ok using w98se and dvd decrypter and shrink and i e 6.0 and an external dvd rom, used to use Power dvd with no problems to play a DvDs on my Computer but recently had to re format and lost everything sheechhh .

So what i need is a free player then will reconize dvds that dvd decrypter/shrink have burned or rentals or ones that puchase and will play for me on the PC .

Power dvd was great because it reconized my external drive and had auto/play and was on the menu  that dropped on my pc E drive !

Can i get something that good again,  i can t find anything that seems to work  -  thanks . . .
