Create One-Click System Restore Points In Windows Vista
Make manual restore points a breeze by creating a one-click restore point icon.
System Restore is a great tool in Windows Vista. I've used it many times to undo some of the messes I've gotten myself into.
But, System Restore is buried in the Control Panel, and it takes a lot of clicking to get there.
If you install programs or make any other changes to a system, creating a restore point before you anything is a wise idea.
When I read about creating a one click restore point icon at the How-To Geek I had to give it a try.
You can, if you wish, use the step by step process that's outlined, or, you can download a file that will do it for you.
The downloaded file does what it says and does it easily and quickly.
I've used this for many months now, and its made the list of "things I wouldn't want to do without on a computer".
