I have been using TeamViewer. It is the only remote access software I have used so I cannot compare but I find it excruciatingly slow otherwise it is easy to set up etc. I am on broadband.

I'll agree. I've used PcAnywhere, Ultra VNC, Logmein, and Teamviewer is the easiest, and with much less annoyance. NO ports to fool with.

Been using teamviewer for well over a year, personal use is free. It's by far the best one I've used, and allows me to do anything I need to do on remote PCs. I troubleshoot my family and friends PCs, transfer files, etc., so simple yet so powerful.

There is a free for non-commercial private use version.

The site is back up (at least for me).
