CD/DVD burner speed
Does anybody know the best CD burner program out there with which you can control the burn speed?
I have fairly recent CD/DVD R/WR burner that spins so fast when it burns, I think some of the tracks are not easy to read. I get read errors. It can't find some of the files. I think a slower burn speed would fix the problem.
When I look at the CD tracks, they don't look as visible as they did on my old burner, which was a quite a bit slower burner. Would that make a difference? Comments please.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. - Dz

Thanks for the advice.
I downloaded all the top recommendations on the page . . .
The Best Free Multimedia Software for PC/Best Free CD / DVD Burning Software
And I will try them. CDBurnerXP looks good but not everyone who made a comment liked it.
The page editor really likes it, so it seems, so I am inclined to follow that advice.
I think this site, is seeming to me, to be as about as trust worthy as is out there. Any of the page recommendations have been squeaky clean. I loaded them all and they went on without a hitch.
I'm on XP. Now how they work will be another question,
There where a couple of other peoples' recommendations I looked at, which gave me a bit of problem. Burnaware free and Infrarecorder. They wanted to do some things I didn't want, like subscribe to news bulletins and ads and to put a search bar on my browser or Email client. I down loaded Ashampoo 6 and got a Trojan warning during the process. But then I use Avast, and it is known for false positives. But hey, better a false positive than , , , a true negative or whatever.
The fun continues . . .
Anyway thanks again - Dz
