cascaded directory/file attribute and date change shell extension

anyone know of a free shell extension that provides ability to change all the file system object characteristics in a directory tree - I'd like to be able to change attributes (read only, hidden, temporary etc) and the dates - a "now" option for dates is regarded as a "should have".

frebooti's filetweak does what I want, but its not free and it doesn't have a "now" option - if it did then i probably would have bought it by now.

I have some command scripts use the gnu utilities to do various things, but they are cumbersome and i lost one recently, it took me a while to reconstruct (actually I lost it a long time ago, but i only noticed recently).

Attribute Changer shell extension (freeware) does file and folder attributes including compression and indexing.

It does file system date and time stamps as well as Exif date and time info.

You can filter objects on date & time, size and existing attributes.

It can produce a detailed or errors-only report and has a Simulation (preview) mode (for the nervous, like me).
