...bypasses clicking folder after folder!
I Googled for an hour yesterday (to no avail) trying to find a folder utility program similar to the old FDwin. FDwin still works, but it chokes on the large number of folders on today's hard drives.
That program is one of my favorites; I've used it since Win95. It writes its own file containing all your hard drive's folder names. When you want an Explorer window somewhere, even many folders deep, it pops up (via its own hotkey), you type in a short search string, and it instantly displays all the folders with sub-string anywhere in the folder's name.
One click then takes opens an Explorer window in that folder. Beats the hell out of clickity, clickity, clickity!
Does anyone know of such a program?

What about this one? Not sure if this is what you were looking for or not.
I haven't tried it yet but plan to. Anyone else try this one? Results?

Hallo, In this vey same page I met Everything, it will display files and folders together but a few letters will get you where you want. Once found, you can open the folder.

Wow, thanks, Ernestoch! "Everything" is perfect. I downloaded it tonight, installed it, and it really speeds up opening folders. Cool. And thanks for the quick response, too!
