Beware "The Twelve Scams of Christmas"
Here's a pretty good roundup of current scams to watch out for. The McAfee tips are good, but my suggestion is to do some research before choosing security software.
I'd be remiss if I didn't direct you to the categories here on Gizmo's Freeware to help you make a choice that works for you and has plenty of commentary and feedback from users.

Happy Christmas from the Toymaker!
The Toymaker is a website that has many items you can make out of paper; just print them out and assemble. All the patterns are free, and the projects are easy, with the idea that kids can make these projects.
Wonderful and whimsical boxes, bags, balls, ornaments, and cards and printable paper patterns. There are more projectsin other (non-holiday) sections of the site such as finger puppets, theaters, math and learning toys, toys that move and much more. Very kid friendly site with plenty of things to do. Note: The site author has written a book and has links to purchase it, but they aren't intrusive. All the projects on the site are free.
