BEST FREE PC GAMES 2011:NOMINATIONS OPEN
If you are looking for Free Game Of the Week, sorry to disappoint you, there won't be one for this week. But there are reasons to be happy. If you're thinking, what that would be, it's time for deciding the finalists and winners for Free Game of the Year.
Nominations for the much awaited, Best Free PC Games 2011 has begun. You can propose your favourite free games, that stirred your imaginations and captured your hearts, in the comments section below.
Eligibility Criteria for the games are as follows:
- Only games released as free or free to play are eligible. No demo or time limited trial versions are allowed. Free games that are feature-limited over their commercial version can also be nominated.
- The game should run on Windows XP or above. It can be multi-platform but should run on Windows.
- Only those games that were released during 2011 could be nominated. Games that were released as beta during 2011 as well as those which were released as beta before 2011 but had a major release in 2011 are also eligible.
The comments section for nominations will be open only from Sunday, 22nd
Jan till Sunday, 29th Jan. Please, do not use the contact form for the
suggestions. Nominations should be done only in the comments section below.
The final list would be Top10, Top 15 or even Top 20, depending on the heat of the competition and is yet to be decided. All the games that have been nominated here, along with the games, that I have already shortlisted, might stand a chance to be the finalists or even be the winner. So, every suggestion counts. Don't wait, time's precious!

League of Legends by Riot Games (formerly the staff from Blizzard's Warcraft I, Warcraft II, Warcraft III, and DOTA) - Great MMORPG replacement. Whilst not an MMORPG it allows users to play an entire game in 20 - 45 minutes on average. Great gaming experience that allows you to interact online with other users, build clans, compete for money in tournaments, and ultimately not have to spend weeks at a time to level up your characters. Several character choices give you an option to use carries, mages, assassins, tanks, supports, and many unlimited options. If you are like me, MMORPG's take up a lot of time. The use of time per game is fascinating and has helped me "GET MY LIFE BACK" so to say. Check it out!
Transcendence a space game gets my vote
Has George finally managed to make a final version or not? When I played v0.99, it was only half-done.
Empire Earth. Also OTTD. ( Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe )
Do online flash games count? If so, then I nominate Kingdom Rush. :D
Empire Earth. Recently made available as "free to play".
Is it still free to play? I thought it was time limited free release.
Stealth Bastard
It was a superb experience!!!
Perfectworld MMORPG
came out in 2005 but the most recent expansion was released early 2011 and another expansion will be released in 2012
warrock is free game I know of, but I guess it depends on what you like. CNET has a download link for it, but spam filter wont allow me to post on here.
