Best File Open/Save As Manager
FlashFolder Tool
Free open source tool for rapid access to your mostly used folders from (almost) any Windows program
This tool works from any File/Open or Save window and you can select any folder to be kept as a "bookmark" for later use. If you work on many projects, this becomes helpful to get to those locations at a later time. Also, the last folder feature of this tool is very handy.
Features:
CTRL+L => Last folder location
Global Folder History
Current Open Folders
Favorite Folders (Just like Internet Explorer or Firefox bookmarks)
Filter
Edit Configuration
Note: Under the Configuration, you have to manually set the application to work with Microsoft Office.
Cons:
Tried to install this on my Wife's Vista machine, and it does not work on Vista.
Have read a couple of complaints about this tool running as a Windows Service (just looked and it is running about 560kb in memory).

re-post below..
Thoughts on Dirkey? Been a while since I've used it, haven't tried many other options, and don't know whether it's being developed or not... but it was very simple to use and very useful for me.
DirKey appears to not be in Development anymore. I like the interface of Flashfolder as it is an add-on for the Open/SaveAs windows..
