Application

I want a freeware program that ... converts PDF files to DXF or DWG files without the need for the original file that produced the PDF file to also have been be a DXF or DWG file.  I want it to convert the PDF file into a vector file no matter what the original file happend to be.  Also, be able to convert circular and curve shapes into true arcs not polylines.  And, if it is really good, recognize the fonts in the PDF file and convert them to a ttf font of similar form and leave them in the same visual location but on a different layer.

It's no wonder the USA is in the shape it's in. No one has a "can do" attitude anymore. I still think there is someone out there with the technical skills to take this on as a challange to their experience and mental fortitude. It's all a matter of "want to"!

No way my friend, no way. If you don't have Autocad installed, you can use TrueView to convert DWG to DXF. With with DWF Writer convert to DWF, with any third party to PDF. But PDF to DWG or DXF, with a powerful layer management like you suggest not even with Acrobat Pro!

Hi, you don't have to post twice. What you are asking is very much specialized, I am working with Autocad over 10 years and I have never seen an app - free or share - that does what you ask. I'm not saying it doesn't exist. You can try to open that PDF in Photoshop or Acrobat and export to EPS or other CAD compatible format; but that's hardly what you're asking. I also don't believe Autodesk is going to support it anyway, because they are working with DWF as a PDF replacement, and giving away the Design Review editor for free; as for Bentley I have no ideia.
