Alert for loss/restore of internet connection ??
Is there a freeware program out there that occasionally checks to see if you're connected to the internet or not ??
There are programs you can run that test your connection, but I'm looking for something that checks for an internet connection (say every 5 mins) and audibly/visibly alerts you to the fact that your internet connection has been lost. Then audiby/visibly alerts you to the fact that it has been restored, however later that may be.

The free version of Network magic used to that as well, but you should Google for it since I do not think it is still available since they have been bought by Cisco. On top of it, it provides a visual map of your network.
