AdAware 2008 Professional can be had free

I've added this as a footnote in my category, but it's worth mentioning again. AdAware 2008 Pro is available free for completing a trial offer, now. The price is normally US $26.99, but if you are prepared to sign up for a trial of something (I haven't followed it through, but I suspect the Lovefilm trial may be in there, which is a good, no-risk trial to use if you aren't already a member) and you get the pro version for nothing.

AdAware came 3rd in my tests of anti-malware, so this is certainly worth a look for those looking for a full free version.

There's a trick to get all software from Trial Pay for free .
It worked for me - I've got AVG Internet Security 8.0 for free .

The link is : http://for-free-on-internet.com/2008/12/best-of-2008-trial-pay-how-to-ge...

Good luck !

Isn't Ad-Aware a very bloated package that's hard on system resources (since the upgrade from SE)?

It depends how you choose. It is free, as long as you don't become a persistent subscriber.

Get your free trial, then unsubscribe. It won't affect your AdAware subscription, which remains free.

Are you saying you DON'T HAVE TO BUY the other product to get the free licence ? Or that you get a REFUND under 30 day money back garantee ?

OK - I just followed through as far as the trials. The top two were eMusic and Lovefilm. You can sign up for a trial with either of these without spending a penny. Just remember to cancel at the end of your free trial.

not forgetting to read trialplays terms and conditions before the commitment.
