Free download of Acronis True Image WD Edition Software can be found at:
http://support.wdc.com/product/downloaddetail.asp
The one caveat is that this edition requires that at least one Western Digital hard drive be installed in your system.
I do not know if this is only good in the US or not!
Supported Operating Systems
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista
The site is not clear whether this supports 64bit systems or not.

Cloned a nearly full 80GB EIDE drive to a brand new 1TB SATA, disconnected the original boot drive and booted perfectly to the clone. Both are Western Digital drives. This software made the job much easier than I expected!
I used this program at work with a sata dock. Our user had legitimatly filled his 40 GB drive so we bought him a 340GB drive. The Acronis WD perfectly copied his small drive to the larger one with proportional partition expansion. Worked great on the first pass!
I tried the "Acronis True Image WD Edition" clone function and had a bad result. After starting the clone operation, the software restarts XP but
the screen remains black. There is no indication of any disk activity.
I had to restore the system in order to be able to reboot XP.
tanks work great for me :)
Thanks once again Kendall, you ar a star!
Acronis provides the same program for Seagate as well

It is a stripped down version of TrueImage just meant for moving data from one drive to another.
It would be nice if the poster actually told us what "Acronis True Image WD Edition" IS and what it does. I've never heard of it. As I don't have a Western Digital hard drive I won't bother going to the site to find out
I guess Google was out of the question...
kendall return to the Hot Finds forum!
LOL....somebody noticed.... ;)
In the User's Guide is written:
Windows® 2000 Professional SP 4
Windows XP SP 2
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Windows Vista (all editions)
It follows that the 64 bit OS are supported.
I however, could not get HDD diagnostics to work on my 64 bit XP rig. Worked fine on my 32 bit rigs though. Error comes up stating that it cannot find the licence agreement which is clearly seen in the Diag504fCD.iso file on the CD...Hmmm
