100 Awesome Sites for Bookworms

This site has plenty of interesting sites where you can discover what to read next, recommend books to others, catalog your collection and network with other book lovers.

This is a terrific list of resources for anyone who loves books. It's aimed at social sites but anyone who isn't interested in social networking can find many sites of interest. I found some sites that I've marked for a later visit. No site this large with this many links is going to be perfect. With that in mind I found errors of one sort or another with the links listed below. At the time of this writing, all other links were active and resolved accurately.

#7 Read Whale - dead link
#13 BookSprouts - dead link
#22 Booklicker - dead link
#23 BookRevyoo - contains ads only, no content detected.
#30 FrugalReader - parked domain, no content
#55  Bookworms Virtual Book Club - dead link
#56 The Bookies - dead link
#76 WritersNet - the title link is fine. The next link, in the word "site", leads to a web page about Online Veterinary Technician Schools. Go figure.
#90 GuruLib - repeated time out errors
#95 Wordie - resolves to the same site as #96, Wordnik.
#97 Leximo - repeated time out errors
#100 Quotegasm - expired domain

I noticed that most sites require registration to take advantage of all site features.
The site has listed several categories for each link, it makes it easier to find something you might want to look at.
Here are the categories and their descriptions:
• Share Your Love of Books Online
These social networks offer some of the most popular and some not quite so well known, but all provide a chance to connect with others who love to read.
• Book Swapping
Buying books can be expensive, so join one of these groups to meet others and swap books.
• Specialized Book Networks
These groups offer either a very specialized topic or an innovate approach to book appreciation, such as a Kindle forum and sites dedicated to individual topics like Travel, Shakespeare, Mysteries and Crime Fiction.
• Book Recommendations
These social sites offer recommendations for your next read.
• Online Book Clubs, Forums, and Message Boards
These book clubs, forums, and message boards all offer great ways to discuss books no matter where you are.
• Network Online and in Person
These groups offer opportunities to meet in person as well as some online interaction. Find local book clubs, reading groups and more here.
• Networks for Authors and Publishers
Writers, publishers, agents, readers, and anyone else involved in getting books made will be able to find a social site just for them among this list.
• Networks for Books and More
These social sites aren't limited to only books. Movies, videos and television are added to the mix.
• Young Adults
Young adults or those interested in young adult literature can find a group just for them among these.
• Networks for Those Who Love Words
Bookworms are famously in love with words, so check out these fun social sites that are all about appreciating and having fun with words.

I checked 15-20 of the sites and they all work. What are you referring to that doesn't work?
