Best Free Game Sites
Computer gaming has come a very long way from a couple paddles and a ball on the screen, to complete virtual worlds, and in depth characters that immerse you in detail, and pull you out of reality just enough to make you feel like a kid again....assumeing your not a kid. So many breakthroughs have been made with computers in the last 15 years, and game developers have not been very far behind utilizing these breakthroughs. Many of the great games of the past, and some pretty cool new ones, are available for free on the internet, finding them is the issue.
The internet is full of websites claiming free this, and free that when it comes to downloading "free" games, however, the reality behind it is you are only downloading a trial version, and will be asked to pay after a certain amount of time, some of the trial versions even stop working once the time period is up.....so, lets go hunting for some sites that are the real deal....
-list of 100 free full premium game downloads...also plenty of others listed by posters on the bottom, good find here.
-The majority of the links appear to go to the games developer site for download, so safety from virus's is about as good as it gets, but as always, tread carefully.....this IS the internet.
-150 free downloadable games, and over 200 free flash games.
-Advertise 200% free, with no in game ads.
-Games are divided up by genre, and easily located.
On a personal note, I noticed this site is a proud supporter of the ASPCA...obviously not relevant, but figured I would toss that out there.
-136 Listed free full game downloads.
-About the same amount of free online games listed as well.
-Around 100 free game downloads, online games as well.
-Mainly basic games, nothing that appears too premium, however, if your looking to burn a few hours up, check it out.
-Tons of free premium game full downloads.
-Plenty of free full game downloads.
-Kid friendly games and site.
-Hundreds of premium games available, some however are demo's, or trials, so keep your eyes peeled when downloading.
-This site has been up and running for over 9 years, can't get more trustworthy than that.
-Doesn't seem to be much in the way of free games, but they do however offer 1 sponsored free full game download per day.

-Can't download anything from this site, however...it is an awesome on-line gaming site with hundreds of games available to play with just a simple registration.
Although every website has been checked and downloaded from by me personally, I would still recommend you have a firewall in place, as well as any form of anti-virus and anti-spyware installed on your computer before downloading. It's always better safe than sorry, and this goes for downloading ANYTHING from the internet. Finding websites that actually feature full downloads for free is not as easy as it seems, I myself had a few issues with it, and I'm more than happy to accept any feedback you may have, and possibly a couple additions to the list.

I just took over and re-wrote the article, I'm leaning more towards actual PC games and the websites that offer free downloads of them. If requested, I can also include and review strictly online gaming sites.

There are many great free game sites. I usually play at http://gamelicker.com/free-mario-games as the games are accessible in a single click and the site adds a new game every day. But everyone has his or her own popular arcade game site, which suits him or her best.

GameHouse.com has a different 'free' full game every day with video ads. Usually the ad interruption is timed well, occasionally it isn't. These are full games you can play with a minor interruption of 30 seconds or less from time to time. I don't know if they have free Mac games. For free PC games, go to their site and click the PC games tab, one of the items in the left column is 'Free Games'. Click that link and the free game of the day is at the top of the screen. They also have the 1-hour trials, but the daily free game with ads is yours forever to play and replay. I assume the free games won't work if you're not connected to the Internet.
PS. at Gator Games, the management wants you to enter a credit card number. You won't be charged they say, but I don't want to do that, and you might not want to, either.
This is really awesome example for the 10 gaming sharing site. I also share one more site for the kids.
