It may be worth pointing out that the operating system provides similar functionality out of the box. At least that's true for 2.2 (Froyo) and later. I can't be sure about earlier versions.
A long press on the home key displays active and recent apps. That screen has a Task Manager button for killing active apps.
Strongly disagree.
Any product that requires ROOT should not be considered for Top 10 status as the Android experimentation community, noble and energetic as they are, is such a small part of the Android market. Most of us don't want to run the risk of bricking our phones and losing our warranties any more than we want to wind a key for 90 seconds to have 10 more minutes of power for our devices.
We want the app to work. We don't want to re-build our phones so they can work.

Please provide suggestions with the links, so that its easy for editors and moderators to check. Big lists without links will be simply deleted.
Google+ will be a good addon to the list. Thanks Av_Crazy.
Sorry anupam cant edit my post now .. will post with links next time
but i have posted the exact names - searching them in the market will give the details
Also check airdroid - i dont know if u posted any alternative to that but airdroid has the best interface and is very fast and reliable..
When checked, AirDroid has yet to support video playback on a remote desktop that has been available for Browsix Lite.
That said, this app looks impressive and will still be good to add to the list as an alternative and thanks Av_Crazy for hightlighting it.
I really can't wait to see how "robot assistant" apps are gonna explode in the next year or two. At least the android market breeds competition and innovation between developers- Siri's got her work cut out for her! For instance, I got Everfriends yesterday- and instead of a robotic voice, you have animated cartoons that perform tasks while being entertaining and having personality. It's free too! (And if you think I'm shilling for them, look at all of the 5-star reviews it's got).

Nice! comfortable for eye and feel cool and clear. Todo that suggest you todo.
and has widget, too,it will be the great todo.
Espier Launcher worked great and imitated quite closely most features used in launching apps in the iOS, except that overlapping one icon over the other to create a folder didn't work well when I tried it on my Android device. Hopefully its future version will work better.
Many thanks for all the suggestions and they will be looked into.
Which android device do u have ? ya some bugs are there in espier but its one of the smoothest launchers i found
Avast for android has been released
kicks all other av's to dust

Dear Jojoyee,
I would like to recommend following good apps to ur attention and request u to review them:
Mobisle Notes - for taking notes and making checklist; comes with reminder/alarm.
StartUp Manager - a very good start up manager.
Mobo task Killer (now Easy Task Killer) with Easy Battery Saver plugin - both are too good. Mobo is automatic task cleaner.
AutoAppOrganizer - it is much much better App Organizer listed herein. Interface itself is praiseworthy. Finally, I got the best App Organizer and launcher.
Sanity - is a very good call manager; runs along with the call; comes with call blocking call recording.
Days left - a nice looking widget for reminding a future task/event.
SeePU - shows cpu activity and available memory in notification. Very handy.
Executive Assistant free - is widget which organizes notifications for missed calls, received messages, calender events, facebook notifications under one widget. Very handy and my favorite!!
AndRoot--- M------- - is a good file manager, though it looks like a root file manager but isn't. (Moderated: Not free)
Habit Streak - a handy app to form any habit.
Quick Exit - provides a shortcut in notification to end any app quickly.
Quick Boot - provides very handy options to reboot or shutdown the phone.
Battery Monitor Widget - is a very good widget and app to show important information about battery state and comes with various alarms necessary for battery maintenance.
ShakeOff - provides a quick way to lock the screen just by shaking the phone.
DeviceInfo - provides a quick view of the system information.
You are right! It may become a favorite todo app!
Please provide links. Without links, and with so much of suggestions, I think you will understand how difficult it will be for Jojo, and the moderators to search for each and every suggestion.
It's good to have links but when without, it's ok to me if the app names given are accurate. Quite easy to find them via the Search Box from the Android Market page at https://market.android.com/
Thanks everyone for giving many good suggestions and I'll go through them one by one.
I would like to suggest the following
Call Control - Call Blocker
It has a community Blacklist, as well as your personal list. It blocks calls, sms, spam calls, and much more.
Won Verizon's save time app for the last couple of years.
I have used it for a few weeks now ad it works great.
Gesture launcher (by Shinji)
https://market.android.com/details?id=jp.shinji.android.app.launcher.gesturelauncher&feature=also_installed#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwNCwianAuc2hpbmppLmFuZHJvaWQuYXBwLmxhdW5jaGVyLmdlc3R1cmVsYXVuY2hlciJd
launch gesture launcher with skyfish launcher free or task changer ads. That's good shortcut too.
Espier updated with widget support
Dear Anupam,
I agree with u. But I am a user of the android phone. Being a member of this site, I would like to contribute as much as I can. If I suggest more and more good applications, it will be of huge benefit for the user community of this site. However, as I have mentioned the correct names for each app and Jojoyee has explained, there should not be much of a hassle in finding the right applications. In future, I would suggest 2-3 apps at a time with links as required.
Dear Abhay, we welcome the suggestions gladly, and are ever thankful to the visitors for them. Of course, with the names, one can find them, but still, one has to search, and if there are a whole lot of suggestions, then you can understand, its time consuming to search each and every one of them.
Time is important for everyone. The reason for writing my comment was simple, that the editor does not have to perform time consuming operation for searching and then checking each suggestion. I hope you understand, and thanks for your co-operation.
