Universal USB Installer creates bootable "Live" Linux installations on an external USB drive. A long list of distributions are available including a variety based on the major groups including Ubuntu, Redhat, and SuSE, as well as specialized distros for system management, rescue, security, and more.

SpaceSniffer is a graphical disk use analysis software with available filtering. It can break down display into individual folders and files. Uses a special "Treemap" to display disk use (a concept invented by Prof. Ben Shneiderman).

TrueCrypt creates and opens secure volumes that work transparent to the user, making it possible to use and run files from inside a secure volume. The program can open encrypted files that appear as an external device, as well as encrypt the operating system. Supports a range of high-security 256-bit encryption algorithms, including AES, Serpent, and Twofish, as well as combinations (e.g. Serpent + Twofish) in the event that one of the algorithms is eventually cracked.

Supports key files, a real and false password for plausible deniability, a variety of command-line controls, and official clients are also available for Mac and Linux.

NK2Edit edits the "auto-complete" entries in Microsoft Outlook. Auto-complete is a useful feature to automatically suggest items based on the first few letters of the recipient, but over time can gather invalid or unwanted contacts. The name comes from the .N2K file extension Outlook saves this email list to.

CintaNotes is a tag-based, text-only personal notes manager for collecting bits and pieces of information such as thoughts and ideas, article excerpts, quotes, research, etc. A global hot key (by default Ctrl-F12) clips pieces of text from other applications such as web browsers or any local program. The window title becomes title/subject of the note and the highlighted text selected becomes the body.

The program is useful to quickly take down and tag any piece of useful text that you come across and quickly organize by date, keywords, title, link and note size. A search tool searches the entire database with search keyword highlighting.
